CAMILLA LØW
Camilla Løw (b. 1976) is an Oslo based artist educated at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. She works predominately in sculpture with a highly developed visual language that can evoke modernist traditions such as Constructivism and American Minimalism. The use of industrial materials like concrete, metal, plexiglass and spray paint are central to her work. With a careful consideration for space and surroundings, Løw creates both large-scale site specific installations in public places, and smaller, more intimate works. She has received numerous awards and grants including those from the Scottish Arts Council and the Statoil Art Award. Her works are included in numerous collections including the National Museum of Norway and Henie Onstad Kunstsenter. She recently completed a monumental public-art sculpture for Sparebank Stiftelen’s SkulturStopp in Jessheim, and has had her second solo exhibition at ISCA Gallery in Oslo in 2021. She has numerous exhibitions and public commissions coming up including a group show at Vestfossen Kunstlaboratorium and public art projects in Sogndal and Fjellhamar.
